Elizabeth's Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter or oleo
1 1/2 lb beef, cut into strips ( round, sirloin)

1 clove garlic
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 cups chopped onions
1/2 lb. mushrooms (2 cans)

1 cup tomato sauce (8 oz.)
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sour cream

Directions:

Preheat pan to 350 degrees. Melt butter and brown meat.  Add next 5 ingredients and cook until onions are transparent (5 min.)  Reduce heat to 210-220 degrees and add remaining ingredients EXCEPT sour cream.

Cover, close vent, cook until beef is fork tender - 40 minutes.  Just before serving, stir in sour cream and serve on buttered noodles or over rice.

4-6 servings.
