Quick Coconut Macaroons

Source: Baker's Chocolate and Coconut Favorites, 1962
2 cups Baker's Fine-Grated Coconut
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls 1 inch
apart on greased baking sheet. If desired, garnish with candied
cherries, slivered almonds of Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips.
Bake in a slow oven (325º F.) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from baking sheet at once and cool thoroughly on racks.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen macaroons. |
