Butterscotch Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

3 eggs
1 cup light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup pecans

Preheat oven to 400F.

Poke holes in thawed frozen pie shell with fork and pre-bake for 10 minutes. DO NOT BROWN.  In medium bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add corn syrup, salt, vanilla, brown sugar and butter. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Set unbroken halves aside for top of pie.  Pour into crust, then arrange pecan halves on top.

** Bake 15 minutes.
** Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees.
** Bake 30 to 35 minutes MORE, or until outer edge of filling seems set.  Remove from oven and cool.
