Crock Pot Cajun Sausage and
Rice

INGREDIENTS
8 ounce Kielbasa sausage cut in 1/4-inch slices
1 (14-1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes with liquid (stewed or the
flavored ones)
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium green pepper, diced
2 celery stalks, thinly sliced
2 cloves of garlic, diced.
1 tablespoons steak sauce (I like A1)
3 bay leaves
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 cup uncooked instant Rice
1/2 cup chopped Parsley (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Combine sausage, tomatoes, onion, green pepper, celery, garlic,
steak sauce, bay leaves, sugar and hot pepper sauce in crock pot.
Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours. Remove bay leaves; stir in
rice and 1/2 cup of water. Cook an additional 25 minutes. Stir
in parsley if desired. Makes 5 servings |
